I knew I could count on at least one of my twitter followers to reply. I mainly follow college football as well (the category, but not the subject of my twitter search) and do the same as you during game day or while the games are on.

Re: How Do You Get Your Sports Fix?

I don't need a sports fix. I follow college football, so I'll watch ESPN Game Day or SportsCenter to get the scores I need, or more often, I'll just watch the ticker during an ESPN game. Same with pros--I'll watch for scores during an NFL game. I don't follow baseball, basketball, or hockey.

Re: Oregon Football Player Should Be Suspended For The Year

I'll leave a comment to myself:

Shortly after I made this post (probably because of my astute observations on the subject), the University of Oregon suspended Blount for the season. Well done.

Re: What’s going on…a quick update

Mark, You're Welcome. As far as I know I'm available for the meetup. I fly back to Dallas tomorrow but will be out of town this weekend so I can go check on my Mom.

Man, I thought Chris lived in Dallas. I'll have to run that down.

If you sign-up let me know so I can look for you. You'll be the only person I know...lol!

Re: What’s going on…a quick update

Hi Bryan! Thanks for the mention. :)

I hope you're still available at the end of the month to meet up. Btw, Chris Pirillo, I believe, lives in Seattle.

Just found the link the the Dallas Wordcamp. I think I just might have to sign up for that.

Re: I have 50,000 Twitter Followers…I just don’t know who they are

@mike reynods: Thanks Mike and thanks for stopping by. I think you have hit the nail on the head and I agree that, like all things in life, quality is often much more important than quantity

Re: Welcome to BryanDewberry.com

@Yan: Doesn't matter how you ended up here. I appreciate you stopping by and thanks. Garry is a great guy isn't he?

Re: Welcome to BryanDewberry.com

Hey Bryan

Don't ask me how I end up here but I guess we both learn a thing or two from Garry. Though this comes a little too late, still congrats on making that very first step.

We'll talk soon
Yan

Re: The Power Of A Tweet

@MLDina: I'm selective about who I follow as well. If someone follows me I'll at least look at their profile but if they're following 10,000 with only 2 updates or the updates they've made are spammy I won't follow them.

Re: The Power Of A Tweet

Definitely hear ya! I try to pick and choose who I follow. When I first started using Twitter, I followed everyone who followed me, but it turned out to be a bit too much. I like following tweeps who have something to add to the conversation, or provide great insight.

Re: The Power Of A Tweet

@Dan: Thanks for stopping by and the compliments. Come back as often as you like.

@MLDina: Thanks for stopping by. Twitter has developed into a favorite of mine too. Unfortunately, we have to tip-toe around the spammers sometimes or those linking to their landing pages. I'm all for twitter being used to as a marketing tool just don't spam me with offers or keeping linking me to the next great deal in internet marketing. Know what I mean?

Re: The Power Of A Tweet

Twitter is a wonderful resource for sharing information with your network. I heard about the tweet-a-thon Joel Comm did recently, and have used Twitter to promote our upcoming bowl-a-thon. We've had great success interacting with publishers and advertisers, old and new, on Twitter. It's one of my favorite social networking sites for sharing and finding news and networks.

Re: The Power Of A Tweet

Nice site. That means a lot coming from you. I also agree with you on "about me" pages. I want my readers to know who I am, where I've been, where I want to go, and what I can give them. If they can't get to know me why would they want to spend time on my blog?

Re: My About Me Page Is Now About Me

Your about me page is awesome. I am so very picky about "about me" pages on blogs. A lot of bloggers don't invest the time into creating one and I don't think it reflects well on the author of the site. An author/blogger who invests time into their about me page illustrates that they have a vested interest into their blog and their community of readers and visitors.

Re: An Open Letter To Starbucks

@Kevin: Thanks for stopping by. But now that they are closing them faster then they are opening them these days we may see more perks go away, like free tables to sit at. :)

Re: Welcome to BryanDewberry.com

@Garry: No, you're not dreaming. Bryan finally launches his BLOG!!!!! I must be dreaming!! lol

Congrats congrats and my friend this was long overdue. Everyone needs a blog where they can just use it as a blog towards keeping friends updated with events in your life and how things are going towards achieving goals and such. Your personal blog is going to do just fine. This theme is also really cool, I love it!

Re: Welcome to BryanDewberry.com

@Amanda: Congrats on being my first commenter! Wish I had a cool prize to give you but I guess you'll just have to settle for a comment reply. I had been toying with this for a while and finally decided that I did need someplace where I could write freely and wasn't bound by the theme of a site. Now there are no limits!

Re: Welcome to BryanDewberry.com

Hey Bryan--good to see you finally decided to get off your rump. :-) It took me a while to get my personal blog started too. I love having a place to write about whatever I want.
